Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2016 GMC Sierra 2500, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Pollak in bed seven way wiring kit. Before we do that though, let's take a minute, check it out and make sure it's gonna be the right setup for you. The whole purpose of an in bed wiring kit like this is for those of you that plan on pulling goosenecks or fifth wheel trailers. That way your seven way connection will be in here and you won't have to drape your wiring over your tailgate, plug it into your bumper or have to worry about, you know, the wire not being long enough, so on and so forth. It's just the right way to set things up in terms of wiring. more

Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness Installation - 2020 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Curt custom fit gooseneck and fifth wheel in bed wire harness extension on a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500. Now our customer just added rails and a fifth wheel BMW Patriot in the back of his truck. And when hooking up to his RV, having to plug in and wrap it over the tailgate can kind of be cumbersome. So if you can have your wiring right here in bed it makes it a lot easier to hook up and it keeps your wires nice and tucked in. So if you've ever noticed what this plug cover is on the bed of your truck, this is just a dummy plate but the Curt kit actually fits perfectly in here and you can see it looks just like factory. It fits that hole perfectly. more

Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer and today we are taking a look and installing the Hopkins fifth wheel or gooseneck wiring adapter for your seven and four pole with a 90 degree plug on a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 HD. Now when towing a fifth wheel or gooseneck many times it can be cumbersome running your wires to your actual trailer as they kind of live up this way. So instead of draping your wires over your bed while hooked up you can actually fix that with this little guy. The way this works is it actually ties into your factory seven and four pole. And it actually is meant for the OEM punch out plate here. more

Hey there GMC honors 10 year 2021 GMC Sierra 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Farmans in bed, seven pole connector vehicle wiring. These are available on either a seven or a nine foot option just depending on where you want to place it in the length of the bed of your truck. We showed off the nine foot one today in our video. And you can see our factory connector on our GM here. This is a great connector they put here from the factory, but if you have a fifth wheel gooseneck trailer or an embed camper, in many cases the wiring doesn't reach down over the tailgate of the truck to plug in. Or if it does it's just really an inconvenient location. more

Bargman Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2018 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hi, I'm Shane with etrailer.com. Today, I'm going to walk through how to install the Bargman Gooseneck Fifth Wheel 90 Degree Wiring Harness on our 2018 GMC Sierra 2,500.Adding wiring like this, in the bed of your truck, is going to allow you when you're hooked up your fifth wheel or gooseneck, to plug it in inside the bed. You're not going to have to take your cord, hang it over top of your tailgate, and plug it in down by your bumper.It's going to give you your seven pole connection, casing is a very durable plastic casing, so we're not going to have to worry about damage. We're going to have a spring loaded lid. On the underside of the lid, it's going to have a foam ring on it, and what it does, it seals right around here, to keep any dirt, debris, and moisture from getting onto our connections.It's going to plug directly into our factory seven pole plug on the back of our vehicle. And if you notice right here on the lid, this is going to tell us what each one of our pins or each one of our wires are doing inside of the wiring harness.This wiring harness is also going to come with an extension plate and where this goes, it actually would mount right behind the backside of the plug here, to give you that added space in case the 90 degree section of your wiring makes contact with the outside of the bed.Now that we've gone over some of the features, let's walk through the installation together. more

Today on our 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Bargman fifth wheel and gooseneck 90 degree trailer wiring harness with the seven pull plug.This wiring is going to mount here in the bed of your truck, and the purpose of that is, it's going to be way less of a hassle to hook up to your fifth wheel or gooseneck trailer wiring. And it's going to eliminate the need to drape your wiring over your tailgate, have to worry about it accidentally coming unplugged, or even scratching up your truck's finish.The cab is going to be spring loaded, and on the bottom side there's going to be a rubber seal. And with those two things put together, that's gonna help keep out any dirt and debris. It's also going to help resist any corrosion, not letting moisture inside.There's also going to be a tab here that hangs down and the purpose of that, so whenever you plug in your wiring it's going to catch it and help it from accidentally coming disconnected.So one of the things I really like about this kit is that it's going to be plug and play. So it's essentially just going to plug in to your seven way down at your bumper, but it's still going to allow you to use that seven way down at your bumper as well as the one inside of that.And with it being plug and play installation is going to be very straightforward. more

Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2018 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hi there, GMC Sierra owners. Today on our 2018 GMC Sierra, we're going to be installing Draw-Tite's fifth wheel or gooseneck wiring harness. This wiring harness is going to put your seven-pole connector in a much more convenient location for your fifth wheel or gooseneck trailers. Often, your fifth wheel gooseneck trailer, the cable that comes with it isn't long enough to reach over the back of the bed of your truck to plug into your existing factory connector. And if it is long enough, it's usually just barely long enough and then you've got a cable rubbing up against the outside of your tailgate potentially scuffing up the paint.This keeps everything in your bed, doesn't put any stress on the length of your cable, and your factory seven-pole connector still functions along side with this one. The seven-way connector has a spring-loaded cover with rubber gasket on the inside to keep out any dirt, debris, and moisture, ensuring a long lasting connection.You will have to drill a hole to mount your seven-way connector. more

Today on our 2017 GMC Sierra Denali 2500HD, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Fifth Wheel or Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with Seven-Pole Plug.This is what our seven-way plug in harness looks like installed. Now, this is going to give you all your necessary lighting functions, and it's going to solve your issue of having to drape your plug over and above your tailgate. Now the cap is spring loaded; that way, when you're not using it, it stays nice and tight and sealed, and keeps any dirt and debris and moisture out.It also has a clip right here, which when you do have your seven-way plugged in, it'll help that from getting pulled out accidentally. Now, there is some raised lettering on the cap. That actually will tell you what each terminal inside is used for.One of my favorite things about this is it's super easy to install. Everything is just plug and play. more

Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Speaker 1: Today on a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 you're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install the Hopkins endurance fifth wheel gooseneck 90 degree wiring harness with seven pull plug. Part number 41157. It's going to give you your brake lights, your right turn, your left turn, your running lights, your grounds, your reverse lights, and it's also going to give you a wire to hook into the brake controller, which the 2500 normally has a brake controller already installed in the truck. This allows you to run that break controller.It's going to give us the option of plugging in when we have our gooseneck hooked up plugging in our wiring here instead of running the wire over our tailgate and plugging it into our factory setting way, which is normally mounted on the bumper. Your lift is going to be spring loaded, it's going to have a nice foam ring on the inside of it to help seal all of your connections, help keep any dirt, debris, moisture from getting inside of the plug housing. Plug housing is going to be made out of a durable plastic. more

Upgrade your Sierra to work with the Magnetic EZ Connector 7-Way Connectors. This will allow you to connect the trailers with the Magnetic 7-Way EZ Connector.It's a face to face connection. There are no pins or blades to be bent or broken. It's a powerful magnet for a secure connection, but it's easy enough to remove. It offers all the same functions as a standard 7-Way.To begin our installation, we need to take our EZ Connector mounting bracket and find a good spot for it. more

Right here's what our 7-way looks like installed. As you can see, it sits up nice and flush against the bed at the side of our truck here close to the back. It's easy for us to hook up to. Curt 5th Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Today, in our 2016 GMC 2500, we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install the Curt Fifth Wheel Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness and Seven Pole Connector. Part number C56070. Here is what our kid is going to consist of. We're going to have a seven foot extension cable. We'll have a C connector that's going to plug in between our factory seven way, and allow us to run an extension up. We'll mount this in the bed that way 00:00:30 we can plug-in or gooseneck or fifth wheel. That's going to come with some zip ties and some mounting screws. It is going to require that we drill a two and an eighth inch hole, once was located in an area we want to mount it in. more

Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Today on our 2014 GMC Sierra, we'll be installing the Bargman fifth wheel Gooseneck 90-degree wiring harness with seven-pole plug, part number 54701-003. We'll go ahead and choose a location to mount our seven-way plug. I know we need to put a pilot hole through the bed. We're going to make sure on the back side that there's nothing that could be damaged. Once we have our quarter-inch pilot hole drilled, we'll come back with a two-inch hole saw. Now we'll take our end of the wiring harness that has two plugs on it and feed it to the hole we just drilled. Now that we have our wires fed down through the two-inch hole, we'll go ahead and take a small drill bit and put a pilot hole into each of the four mounting locations on the plug. Once we have a pilot hole on each of the four locations, we'll go ahead and put the self-tapping screws in place securing the plug to the bed of the truck. Now we'll go and take the end of our wire and route it over into the back of our factory seven-way plug. Now that we have our wires routed over to the backside of the factory seven way, we'll need to unplug the factory seven-way plug. To do this, we'll remove the small gray locking tab. more
